Música Celta

Música Celta will focus on sharing our collective knowledge base of Celtic music—broadly defined. Our music is now global while experiences are local--- I, for one, feel that I am missing numerous great musicians---we just need to know about them.

That's him Richie Kavanagh. I get a giggle out of this as my nephew was visiting from Australia when it first came out and his mum and I were trying to explain how 'focal' was an Irish word but he wasn't convinced. Thank you for sharing it.

Of course, there's The Tossers - their vid for "Good Morning Da" is great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV_L6T6mhRo

Really good video.
My favorite songs are Ciara & Siobhan--cannot find a video for Ciara.

Don't know if they count properly as they, like Black 47, are based in the US....................

We're including music by the ''muntir na nGael' community-not just 'muntir na Eireann"--that includes us yanks and everyone else, too!!!!!

Remember that one? I'll see if I can find it. You won't want that one in your top 25 Terry!

Hi Aine!

I made a search on the web and found that Joe Dolan took ill in his home on Christmas 2007. He died on the following day from a brain hemorrhage at the age of 68. Had had an operation (hip transplant) a couple of year earlier.

I did not know about him but by the comments he was very dear to everyone. Specially in Mullingar, Westmeath where he was born.
