Great find. I spoke to Sally this morning and she gave me permission to show this on our Aran Islands fan page on Facebook.

The cream on my coffee, the cherry on my cake, the apple of my
eye, the cheese on my cracker, the sugar in my bowl and the culmination of a life of hard work....... and they get to go home with their parents. Grrreeeeaaat!
many feel that grandparents are a particularly obnoxious lot, unable to do much of anything except talk about grandkids--until they become grandma/pa. open to all, this group is intended to be a spot where its normal to indulge in such behaviour.
See below, a recent case made news in the Sunday Times.

I see in the papers today that the Pope will be visiting England in 2010 but will not be visiting Ireland until 2012. If further enquiries are held into clerical sex abuse in other diocese over the coming year I imagine the Vatican will further post…

I thought I'd lighten the load for you financial types by sharing this joke with you:-
I was at a Christmas party the other day and too much drink was consumed. As is usual at these events we all get to say things we wouldn't dream of when sober.…

We were so poor long ago that my mother couldn't afford a turkey at Christmas. She used go down to Moore Street and buy an octopus because everyone would have a leg.
It used to take 12 hours to cook the octopus because it kep…
I was in the Royal Air Force back in the '70 and have a huge interest in aviation. I've read about the tragedy(the worst in aviation history) and have visited the memorial at the Los Rodeos airport in Tenerife. With reference to the growth.... I'm c…
That was a very interesting piece. It's amazing how Archbishop Egan and our own Archbishop Martin are polar opposites. We are lucky to have Diarmuid Martin.
This link makes for interesting reading though it happened some time ago. Looks like they a…
Retired but do a little freelance journalism. Originally worked in the brewing business in Ireland. Prior to that I served in the RAF based in RAF Lyneham and RAF Gibraltar. Great fan of the Irish countryside and live in an old Irish cottage.
What's your Irish link?
Irish born
What's your first language?
English
What does your Irishness mean to you?
Everything. Spent ten years abroad and really got to appreciate our people and culture due to the absence. I'm from a family of nine and six of my siblings are emigrants. I have no regrets about coming back home.
What interests would you like to share with other people
Reading, cooking, I'm an 'aircraft nut' and enjoy travel. Been to Italy recently and I was gobsmacked at their richness in architecture and art. Though I had read a lot about it over the years you can't beat visiting a place in person to get a sense of its history.
You'll see his little flags pop up and a listing for "Tenerife" It is a little confusing at first, but he has some good pictures and a good story there. He is the boat next to us. He is the sweetest human you'll ever meet. 583 people died and he was one of the 64 that made it. He cries talking about it today. It must have been tough. He has cerebral palsy too, but somehow made it out of the plain. I think he crawled through the roof.
Thanks for the encouragement. Here is one I took yesterday. This is the one thing in my life I do for the pure fun of it!

That is terrible- you never hear of those things here. Is the crystal not being made at all or just not there? No pensions, how did they get away with that?
