Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Mel, I come from a small Irish town, and I have three children. I love to sing, in English and as Gaeilge. I love animals, have a bunch including a snake. Ummm, cant think of anything else right now...
What's your Irish link?
Irish born
What's your first language?
English
What does your Irishness mean to you?
Being Irish means the world to me. It is not just my nationality. It is a living breathing part of who I am. It is the songs and the stories, the people, the Emerald Isle, the Patriots who have gone before us, and who are among us today. Being Irish and being proud of that fact, is something I was raised with and pass onto my children everyday.
