I am searching for my father's family from Co Kerry. Michael Doran married Mary Burke in Castleisland in 1839 they arrived in Australia c1840 where my great grandad David Doran was born. Its a 24 year search and still no luck so heres hoping. cheers…

hi patsy, im sure you may have tried the local church records, if not it may be worth a try, lots of children born back then did not get a birth cert, but there is a very good chance that they were christened,the central records office in dublin are not bad when it comes to help, iv managed to trace my mum, however it was a long time before info came through, good luck with your search, Aine
