Yes, this year was the very (small) first St Pady´s day parade in Buenos Aires.
The irish embassador and her Secretary went to it. Then they went to the official ceremonies (mass) at St Paddy´s Church and (dances and music ) at St Brendan's School.
the thought occurred that the global Irish wine aficionado community might agree to taste same/similar wines on/about same time; and then comment. Also, a place where we could post articles about new/unusual regions.

Hello, glad to meet you! My husband and I have become big fans of Argentinian Malbecs of late. There are some really great and affordable wines coming up from Argentina these days.
When I was in the 6th grade, we had to do a project for geography class about another country. I chose Argentina because your country is so well known for it's fine beef, and because I thought it would be great to be a gaucho someday. It broke my heart when my mother told me that was not a suitable occupation for a "lady." So, I found a tango record at the store and got her to buy it for me. I think I played it to death, but I can't remember who the artist was now. :( Mom had a fit when she found out where tango came from :).
My family hail from Meenavally Ardara Donegal, many of my ancestors emigrated to Philadelphia including my great grandfather Bernard Molloy. Where did your grandparents come from

Hello Ruben, I have actually traced one of my Irish forbears to Argentina. He was Philip (Felipe) Hier, brother of my great-grandmother, Margaret Hier. He lived in the province of Santa Fe and had a ranch called "La Esterita." His children, Nicholas Hier y Mackey and Maria Salome Hier y Mackey were baptised in Rosario in 1862 and 1867. Someday I would like to travel to Argentina and find out more about the family.

Hello Ruben Hector Robledo Molloy. Greetings from The Island Of Ireland. Did you know that there are now 169 countries represented in Eire today ... And that Ireland is the sixth most peaceful country in the world and on the International Corruption Index comes in at 18 .... Denmark is the least corrupt and comes in at Number One ... and there is a prize of a piece of turf (one careful owner) to anyone who can name the most corrupt country in the world. Nathan Hawkwind.
